Resumo: This talk covers recent advances in topological flow visualization and glyph-based visualization of multivariate discrete data. In the first part of the talk, we investigate how vector field topology, which provides a concise representation of a flow but is based on instantaneous streamlines, can be extended to time dependency in finite time domains. The second part of the talk revisits face glyphs from a psychological emotion-oriented point of view.
